Eldes had a range of hardware products, including alarm systems, garage doors, beacons, and transmitters with SIM cards, but lacked a dedicated mobile app to provide seamless control to its users. The initial challenge was to create an app that could engage and disengage alarm systems, fetch data from various sensors, and facilitate interactions with other electronic gadgets. Furthermore, the app needed to work in tandem with Eldes’ existing hardware and set specific rules using beacons, making it the first step towards basic IoT functionality. As we were creating an app, we also defined/shaped backend APIs that were previously not available and that became a standard for other developers to communicate with Eldes systems.
